Obituary: Donna M. George
Donna M. George, 47, Manhattan, KS passed away Sunday, November 2, 2008 in the Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan.
She was born August 24, 1961 at Killeen, TX, the daughter of Dennis J. George, Sr. and Vicki M. Sumbs George.
She spent her early years in Killeen and moved to Manhattan with her family in December 1974. She attended the Manhattan Catholic Schools, the Lucky High School and was a 1979 graduate of the Manhattan High School.
She was the owner and operator of the Ace Liquor Store, Manhattan until her health forced her to sell the store in October 2007. She was a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, the Seven Dolors Catholic Women Circle No. 4 and spent many hours as a volunteer for the church. She especially enjoyed working with the Manhattan Catholic School and the Youth Choir.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis J. George, Jr. on July 31, 2005.
Survivors include a daughter, Amanda V. George, Manhattan; her parents, Dennis and Vicki George, Manhattan; two brothers, Dale R. George, and his wife, Brenda, Lathrop, MO and Douglas E. George, and his wife, Tina, San Antonio, TX; and two sisters, Deborah A. Price and Doreen M. Ray, and her husband, Charles, all of Manhattan.
